訪學(xué) | 2018綠城睿勵(lì)美高升學(xué)訪校團(tuán)（一）

    初到圣安德魯斯學(xué)校，一切都很期待，我們相信美好的期待一定不會(huì)讓我們失望。

    第一周，大家沉浸在圣安德魯斯學(xué)校的課程中，我們11位學(xué)生分為兩組選課，課程分別是Adventure和Robotics。我選了Adventure，懷著一絲緊張走進(jìn)了課堂，見到了老師與同學(xué)，其實(shí)也沒有那么可怕，無非就是自己的不自信在作祟罷了。

    在美國(guó)的這幾天天氣很好，空氣也格外清新，而且Adventure課堂也恰巧在室外大草坪上進(jìn)行。期間，我嘗試著從自己的那個(gè)中國(guó)同學(xué)圈子里跳出來，盡量多去交些外國(guó)朋友，開始礙于面子不敢開口，怕說錯(cuò)，但后來發(fā)現(xiàn)只要敢于開口，人家并不會(huì)介意我口語中的語法或者詞匯錯(cuò)誤，心理緊張的因素克服以后，我們的交流和溝通就變的容易許多，同時(shí)我的英語口語水平也得到了進(jìn)一步的鍛煉和長(zhǎng)進(jìn)。

   “Sura, just fall back, we will get you!” A group of people encourages behind me. It’s an activity called “trust fall”, basically just you standing on a wooden pole and do the free fall on people forming a line from your back. It sounds easy and simple, however, when you are actually standing there, you will feel unsecure and hard. The only way to complete this task is to build trust on each other, and I think that’s certainly an useful way to get to know each other well in this summer camp in St. Andrew’s school.

     Although adventure camp may sound like only a playful experience, this also gives you a lot crucial capacities.

     The moment you leave the support of the solid bar and are raised from a bunch of young people let you feel the real joy and happiness. Bonding with other people, strangers or acquaintances, is really significant in life, you’re not alone.

     Only one week has passed, but I have tried various new things already, such as climbing the high rope, making different steady nots. However, the most unforgettable one is kayaking.

The boats are heavy, therefore it demands two people to move one at the same time. We understand better to work as a team and get involved instead of just being a spectator. You should really try to push your paddle against the water’s resistance and get thrust against each wave. The tide may rush into the boat and you get wet, but we really enjoy that.

     More challenges are there waiting for us, hope we can overcome those and perform the best of us.

    來到羅德島圣安德魯斯學(xué)校的第二天，在這個(gè)陽光明媚的早晨，我們迎來了Robotics的第二節(jié)課.比起昨天的羞澀，今天的我們?cè)郊幼孕拧?/div>

   一小時(shí)的午休格外短暫，在大樹的秋千上消磨了一會(huì)兒后我們便自己摸索著到了一幢紅白相間的教學(xué)樓。進(jìn)門轉(zhuǎn)角便是走廊，不長(zhǎng)卻很明亮，它的干凈寬敞給人一種舒適的感覺。目光不由地在這純白的墻上停留，棕色的門透明的窗，很容易辨認(rèn)出這就是我們需要接受訪校面試培訓(xùn)的教室了。

   面試培訓(xùn)課的目的是為了讓我們11個(gè)人組成的“ 美國(guó)訪校團(tuán) ”能在真正訪校的時(shí)候展現(xiàn)出最好的一面。為此我們的老師特意請(qǐng)來了昆尼皮亞克大學(xué)的面試官以及當(dāng)?shù)爻��?jí)厲害的Hill學(xué)校的面試官來給我們做培訓(xùn)。

   坐在單人式桌椅上，拿出電腦，反復(fù)地翻動(dòng)著頁(yè)面與同伴閑聊著，不安地等待著那兩位老師。當(dāng)木門被推開時(shí)，所有人的目光都聚焦在了他們的身上。那位大學(xué)的面試官已有幾絲白發(fā)了，但卻很和藹地對(duì)我們微笑問候，頓時(shí)讓我們有了一種親切的感覺；另一位相比之下年輕些許，面容嚴(yán)肅但當(dāng)他微笑時(shí)，也比較有親和力，同時(shí)也緩解了我們當(dāng)時(shí)不安的心情。

    培訓(xùn)中，首先他們先告知了我們美國(guó)高中的一些基本信息，包括根據(jù)自己的情況怎么挑選適合自己的美高等；然后告訴我們面試的整個(gè)過程，還為我們羅列了一些面試時(shí)常問問題，讓我們回去后能悉心準(zhǔn)備；接著他們將我們分成了3組，并給每組3個(gè)問題準(zhǔn)備，分別由一位spokesman代表發(fā)言；最后，他給了我們一篇往屆學(xué)姐寫出的優(yōu)秀的論文讓我們借鑒。

    第二天一早，他們便帶我們一個(gè)個(gè)出去模擬面試，本以為面試會(huì)非常正式，但事實(shí)上出乎意料，面試中和老師交流了我的愛好，學(xué)習(xí)和生活情況，他還用手機(jī)給我介紹了他在羅德島的家等等。整個(gè)面試過程都十分輕松愉快，瞬間讓我對(duì)面試的定義改變了。

    這兩天的面試培訓(xùn)課不僅教會(huì)了我們?cè)S多面試的技巧，也讓我們對(duì)自己更加自信了。希望我們?cè)诮酉聛韮芍艿恼�式面試中能順利進(jìn)行并得到自己滿意的結(jié)果！

    Interviewing is the most significant goal for us---11 new 9th grade students. Thus, we are arranged to have the interview lessons for twice. The teachers of our class are 2 interviewer who are from hill high school and another college.

    Firstly, we are told the concept of American high school, and the rules of applying those schools. We know a lot of refreshing news and stories from 2 teachers which are all about the experience of themselves. Secondly, two teachers give us numerous questions which will be asked in interviewing almost in every American high school. Finally, at last day, we practice the process of interview as the real one. In that practice, I am nerves at first, I cannot believe that in the interviewing I can be brave enough to talk in English to show myself. However, one of the interviewers picks me for the first one to interview, and on the path which we find the place to sit down, he asks me some questions that are very inform, and I think that those questions are just for chat. However, he does not make any formal actions to imply me that this is an interview. And we have a very relax and light ambience during this process.

    The 2 days courses give us lots of interview skills and we hope that we will make a satisfied result of interviewing 2 weeks later!

2018年7月28-29日   Clean up！      

    周末外出活動(dòng)讓我們非常開心，我們參觀了波士頓科技館、當(dāng)?shù)氐膭?dòng)物園、逛了附近的美食店和超市，每次外出都能讓我們收獲頗多，樂在其中。而且每次從超市回來，我們都會(huì)買很多東西，把冰箱塞得滿滿的，貨架也被我們占用，放滿了生活用品和食物。

    我們每一個(gè)成員都非常珍惜我們臨時(shí)組成的大家庭，特別是客廳，空余時(shí)間我們都會(huì)聚集在一起，聊聊話題，做做小游戲，大家過得非常開心。但是人多了再加上食物產(chǎn)生的垃圾影響衛(wèi)生，所以我們團(tuán)結(jié)一致，分工明確，定時(shí)清理，絕不讓垃圾污染我們的環(huán)境，營(yíng)造了一個(gè)干凈整潔、溫馨舒適的好環(huán)境。
