In the applause, revelry, blessings, and reluctance of June.
The fragrance of gardenia flowers fills the WASHZ campus。
Ms. Sun Ling and Mr. Tig Mooney, along with teachers and students from various departments of the school, invited parents to gather together, witnessing the tremendous growth of the students and applauding their glory.
Amidst songs, applause, and laughter, we also bid farewell to the graduates.

First Upper School Graduates
We are one step closer to our dreams

This year, WASHZ celebrated the graduation of its first batch of students, who are also the founding students of WASHZ. They have experienced the four seasons together, admired the stars, and guarded the campus during the pandemic. Today, we bid them farewell as they embark on a journey to a broader world, leaving us with deep feelings.
As a senior student who will soon be studying Astronomy and Physics at university, she took the stage to share her journey of pursuing her dreams with her fellow students. Though her speech was brief, it acted as a lighthouse in the fog, reassuring her classmates that they are not alone in their pursuit of dreams. In the WASHZ community, there will always be a guiding light accompanying them on their journey.
“Perhaps many of you are still uncertain about your future direction, and I was the same. When I was in G10, I wasns choosing a school or a major, the most important thing is to choose something you have carefully considered, still love, are interested in, and aspire to. Because this will be the path you have to walk alone for the next few years. It may be lonely, long, but it will undoubtedly be challenging, meaningful, and unforgettable."

Principals Award" to five students from the kindergarten, Lower School, and Upper School for 2022-2023 academic year. This award recognizes studentst very good, but the teachers patiently guided me. As a result, I made significant progress in English and eventually moved from Class C to Class A. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teachers who have taught me.”
Formerly a shy Lower School graduate, Elizabeth Ye has now become an active participant on the various stages of activities at WASHZ. She confidently shared her feelings of growth, saying, "Time has flown by, and I have been at WASHZ for almost two years now. When I first came to this school, I was nervous and shy. I didnm completely at ease, and most importantly, Is Encouragement
Embrace process, Persevere, Pursue your passion

Mr. Tig Mooney was filled with mixed emotions as he addressed the graduating students in attendance. Everyone is about to leave the familiar environments of Kindergarten, Lower School, and Upper School and step into new classrooms. Some pupils will move on to higher grades in WASHZ, while others will venture into new cities or even unfamiliar countries, where they will meet new classmates and teachers... As the Executive Head who has witnessed the growth of these pupils every day, Mr. Tig Mooney offered his sincere blessings.
"I would like to take this opportunity during the graduation ceremony to share three pieces of advice, especially for the graduating students. Firstly, I hope that all of you embrace the process. In our journey of growth, the process is more important than the goal itself. Cherish the opportunities in front of you, learn from both failures and successes, and broaden your horizons to welcome various new opportunities. Success does not mean smooth sailing all the way. When faced with difficulties, have the confidence to overcome them. In the process, you will encounter the beauty within, as we can benefit greatly from overcoming challenges and obstacles.
The second advice is for each and every one of you to cultivate your own perseverance. Life has its ups and downs, and a positive mindset and unwavering qualities can help us rise to the challenges.
Thirdly, I encourage all of you to pursue your passions. Listen to the voice within, boldly chase after your true interests, and explore your own selves. Whether its graduates towards a more brilliant journey in life."
Ms. Sun Ling, the Chinese Principal of WASHZ, looked back on the outstanding achievements created by the joint efforts of teachers and students throughout this academic year. She also expressed gratitude for the trust, care, and solidarity received from parents during the challenging journey of establishing the school.
"The relationship between the school and parents has become increasingly close. Parents love the school like their own home, and over the past year, the school has received numerous donations and support from parents. Some parents donated trees to the Kindergarten, allowing pupils to engage in forest school learning more effectively. During the shortage of epidemic supplies, some parents selflessly donated ten thousand antigen test kits to the school. Recently, a Lower School parent even donated a seven-acre piece of land to support agricultural activities and scientific experiments for the children... However, we still have a long way to go, and I hope that everyone can work together to become an even better School."Happy Graduation
Happy Summer Holiday!
