31. That’s the way the ball bounces. 表示“命中注定就是這樣了”。一般說這句話的時候,都伴隨著聳肩(shrug the shoulders)的動作。

32. Get the hang of…表示“基本了解了怎樣做某事”

類似上面這樣的小詞,在作文和口語中的使用是非常頻繁的,換句話說,構(gòu)成一篇文章,在詞匯的運用上,主要還是靠這些小詞起大作用。小詞匯,往往給人以更加自然、流暢的感覺,不會因為某個高級詞的錯誤使用反而讓這句話變得很突兀。所以,大道教育建議要準(zhǔn)備雅思考試的同學(xué)應(yīng)該要轉(zhuǎn)變一下傳統(tǒng)的單詞積累方式,不要一味地從字典A開始背誦到Z, 因為大部分單詞都很少會出現(xiàn)在寫作中。同國內(nèi)考試不同,雅思和托福的寫作并不是希望看到多么華麗的詞匯,而是一篇語言表達(dá)自然、流暢的文章。
